Church of Our Lady of Pojišan
The Church of Our Lady of Požižana is a Marian shrine and votive church in Split. It was first mentioned in a stone inscription from the 10th century, located on a hill above Bačvice Bay, east of the city center. The main celebration takes place on August 15th (Assumption Day), when the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is brought to the cathedral and returned to Požižana in the evening with a procession.
