Church and monastery of St. Euphemia
The Benedictine monastery was founded in 1069 by Archbishop Lovro near the north wall of Diocletian's Palace in Split. Originally dedicated to Saint Benedict, it later became known as the Monastery of St. Arnir, after the archbishop who was buried there. The monastery served as a refuge for noblewomen and other prominent women from Split.
